Flying to Nepal from India question!
Wondering what the best way to get my ass to Nepal from Delhi is. I tried buying flights online (and currently have a pending charge on my card) from Indian Air, but the page blanked out after I pressed "purchase" and I didn't receive any confirmation page/email. I'll probably be writing angry emails tomorrow to try and get my money back or something.
Anyway, I did try to get flights with Jetlite as well BUT they don't have e-ticketing (and I don't know if I can trust for tickets to get mailed to Europe in time) AND I don't know if they take foreign credit cards to begin with.
Sooo, if my transaction falls through, does anyone have any other good ideas on how to get myself a confirmed flight to Nepal before I arrive in India? If not, I'll probably buy one when I get there but would probably mean I have to cut time off my volunteering stint.

To Kathmandu? How much are the flights?
It would take a while but the buses were such an adventure, I'd take a bus.

I sent you an email with the Jet Airways schedule of flights from Delhi to Kathmandu... you'll have to call them in order to book the ticket, you can't do it online.
For what it's worth they are a MUCH better airline than Indian Air!!!

Wish I could've taken the bus, sounds like a blast, but I want to get over to the orphanage that I'm volunteering at without pottering around too much beforehand.
ANYWAY. Indian air claims that they'll be refunding my money within the next day or two. I walked over to the office for Jet Airways in Florence (a lovely little 45-minute walk, yay) and bought my tickets. Slightly pricier than you'd think, about 400 dollars I guess.
Set for Nepal! :D

Might be a date issue. Was that before or after taxes though? I remember things being okay price-wise to begin with, and then little sums kept getting added on after every step in the booking process, lol. Anyway the previous flight that I tried to book with Indian Air was even more expensive than the ones I just bought!
I will be in Nepal on the 10th of May, which is...well, really soon.
