Hi,

I'll be travelling to Vienna, Salzburg, Prague, Krakow and Budapest from Mid to End August. Like to know if it is cheaper to buy the Eastern Europe pass or should i just go to the train station in each of these cities to buy the ticket? My concern is that mid to end august is still the high season, would it be more costly to purchase tickets as you go?

I would pick up the pass. Trains can get pricey. Take a look at the picture on the right here. Just Salzburg to Vienna is $65. I'm too lazy to add it up right now but you should break even or come out ahead. Plus you have the pass and you just get on the train and you don't have to deal with queuing for the ticket.
