Default Fricken Cheap tickets!

So I doubt many people would want to travel on New years eve. But I found tickets from MSP to FRA for 326 leaving midday New Years. I would arrive 5 am new years day, which would suck. But it's cheap. I'm tempted actually.

dude that is one of my biggest hangups with being in the military. drains all of the spontaneity out of life. you can't just get up and go somewhere, even if you have the leave days... gotta fill out all this paperwork about where you're going and why and it's even orse OCONUS. and if you're going to an "iffy" country, then you have to get a threat briefing from for lovely S-2/intel folks. I have had to do this for several people who went to places like Malaysia and Turkey on their midtour. Oy.

but yeah, cheap tix!

I assume that is one way? I found a roundtrip flight from Tampa to Frankfurt fare (IOW, what everyone living east of the mississippi in a non hub would pay) for 428. I think from MSP it was 398 departing the 31st returning the 7th

The biggest hangup about my job too. I have to work every Christmas Day - and New Year's Day too.

It's actually roundtrip.
After getting further into the purchase of the tickets, they throw even more taxes into it. But i've found it now for $401.

But I'm thinking I may get vouchers on craigslist saving $75. Not bad idea, eh?

Hopefully prices dont go up much in the near future.

Thats a pretty good deal. I could afford the plane ticket, but I wouldn't have any money to spend there haha.

Good lookin out though.

I have to do the same thing whenever I travel abroad. The best was the intel briefing regarding Iceland. It was 3 paragraphs long. And outdated.

I wish I could just use an old outdated one then I wouldn't have to do the leg work. I run around finding all this crazy stuff out about these countries, put it in a power point, these people make an apoointment to get the breifing and I get a "yeah yeah whatever can you sign this?"
