Guys... have read and heard so much shit about this influenza thing thats happening around SE Asia, but just wondering, from your guys prospective whether or not it would still be fine to travel melbourne - hongkong, hongkong - london?

Im guessing if the plans are still landing, its still safe. Just really wanted to hear it from you guys.

Im sure a lot can change b/w now and may, but you know, im the kinda person that would go there anyrate, and worry about all else laterz.

At the moment u are still fine as so far its only a bird flu, you yourself need to handle/ eat the infected bird.
once the bird flu interacts with a human flu then theres a danger. I'm not sure what will be the case then. But i expect WHO will be onto it pretty quickly (theres a meeting at the moment working on action plans for when/if this happens).

When exactly are you planning on flying through HK? and don't almost all flights out of OZ stop somewhere in Asia?

Im heading throught Thailand and dont plan to make any change of plans yet. Ill be watching developments really closely though.

Just make sure you dont eat any chicken/bird meat and I think youll be right. It cant be passed on from human to human right?
