I am having a bit of trouble figuring out what kind of ticket to buy for a summer trip I am going on.

I am flying from either Toronto OR Buffalo, NY. Either one is within a couple hours from my house. Toronto would be the better of the two, but if there was a major difference in price I could swing departing from Buffalo as well.

I need to fly into Vancouver for approx. a week. Then go to Denver, CO for about a week after that. And then eventually home to Toronto. Buying a bunch of one way tickets is pretty costly. Does anyone know of any multi-city tickets? I am a little lost and looking for some help!!

Have you tried putting in a multi-city itinerary on a site like Orbitz or Expedia? It's one of the advanced options or whatnot. Generally a lot cheaper than buying a bunch of separate one-ways.

Brooke, what are your travel dates?
So far, using dates of the 8th, the 15th, and the 22nd, I get a price of $708 Canadian...but that's on a multitude of airlines.

I am using August 9 or 10 as first departure. Then August 14 or 15 to Denver and then August 21 or 22 as the final flight date. I couldn't get the multi city function to work. Kept saying that the dates were unavailable.

It'll have to be laaate on August 14, preferably Aug. 15 that you depart for Denver. Just sayin.

For this itinerary, you may actually have to go to a good old-fashioned travel agent.
Total price, C$698. Hope this helps!

You might try talking to Air Canada or United for a combo ticket to get to all your cities with a combination of these two airlines. They are both part of the Star Alliance and so it might be easier to call one of them up and look at multi-city options as it should be similar to using a single airline. Given where you are going, they likely have coverage of your entire itinerary (not saying they will be the cheapest option necessarily, but should be better than all individual one-ways). Good luck.

Was the itinerary I posted of any use to you Brooke? What price range did you have in mind?

Yes that itinerary was helpful Matt, thank you. I am going to go to talk to my travel agent and see what I can work out...

Price range is fine...I was looking for something under $700, so looks like I just got that!

To add, if you want an earlier flight than 11 PM, Harmony Airways (the flight from Toronto to Vancouver) has an 8:25 AM departure for only $10 more, but it's a day earlier (August 8th). The only fare bucket available for August 9th on that early flight is in the $400 range.

Price has gone up by $10 and will likely keep doing so, probably by larger amounts. Just a reminder that it's always best to book an airfare you like right away.

Thanks for your help Matt....

I booked a ticket today.

I fly into Vancouver from Toronto on the 9th of August.
Then I fly out of SEATTLE!! on the 15th to Denver
Then from Denver to Toronto on the 22nd of August.

My first two flights are non-stop and I have only an hour stopover in Cleveland on the way home to Toronto.

Grand total of the ticket with taxes and travel agent fees-$711.22 CAN.

Not too bad I suppose...

Anyway...I'm happy.
