Between false advertising mongral airlines on the net and reading your boards I am now a little stumped as to what form of travel is the best for me.

I am housesitting in Bracknell, london for family at the moment and will be looking to take off on my own around the 13th june to explore as much of europe as i can in 6months

I would like to go to paris then down to spain for the azkena festival, 31st aug. My friend has booked me cheap air tix from madrid to amsterdam so all sorted there. then I would like to be in germany for octoberfest. ovouisly i'll fill in the gaps with other countries

any suggestions on cheapest travel?

Bus is probably the cheapest but the slowest and (IMO) least appealing.

Train travel can be reasonable, especially if you're under 26, although taking the Eurostar from London to Paris is always pretty pricey. Trains are probably the most convenient.

Air travel is often cheap (check whichbudget.com, ryanair, or easyjet) but there's the pain of getting from the airport to the city center, which is rarely fun and along with security, delays, etc. ends up eating a ton of time.

there's no one way that's best... just choices to try and find which fit you.
