Alright, it's been a long time coming, but I finally have my travelogue and photos for May's Costa Rica trip up. It took a while because I had NO time on my hands, and also because I worked on it as a template for future travelogues and albums, hoping to brush up on my CSS and JavaScript to make it all fancy.

With all that in mind, there are a couple of caveats: It's very bandwidth heavy, and it looks a bit funky in Internet Explorer. (So far, so good on Firefox and Safari.) I have to do some more testing on Windows, but I think overall it looks alright.

Goddamn IE for Windows... it apparently won't let ANY of my pop-up scripts work. Anyway, I've put a direct link on the page for anyone having trouble.

In the meantime, if you use IE on Windows, please go and download a standards-compliant browser. Thank you

I see lots of beer was invlolved! And it should be.

I am considering a trip to either central or s. america next year and I need some prices. How much did your trip set you back and how long were you there?

Looks like an awesome time tho! I need to brush up on my spanish!

The trip came in at just under $1000 for 8 nights, and that was with my "extravagant" spending (i.e. paying on the average $4 for meals instead of making dinner every night). The most expensive parts are the activities, like horseback riding, rafting, etc. Otherwise, it's a DIRT CHEAP place to go, even though it's the most expensive place in C. America.

As for the photography vs. Photoshop - it's about 50/50. I try my best to work out the best settings for the camera, but i fine tune everything else and amp up the colors in PS to kind of give 'em my own style. Glad ya like!

What were the dates of your trip? I am most likely going to Costa Rica next year since I cannot afford another Euotrip so soon and I wanna see something different! I am also looking at going near the beginning of the rainy season. I better dust off my raingear.

I went the second week of May - turned out to be pretty ideal, other than getting pissed on during the horseback ride!
