I just realized why I'm having such a hard time planing my trip: No matter how much I read about different places I still feel like I have no idea where I want to go. What I really need is either a good travel journal documenting someones trip with loads of pictures, or maybe even someone who's willing to give me a little rundown of their trip over IM with plenty of photos I know there's photo TP photo albums but most of them seem to just be photos with no information on where the photo was taken or if it was worth the visit. If anyone could help me out with even a few photos of your favorite locations in western (or possibly eastern) europe it would help me out so much

Thumbs down

okay, i love travel photography and i always search all over for other peoples pics before trips i take.

try these:

1. click "community only" as your photo source, and then search the name of a city or hotel you hope to see.

2. use the search feature at the bottom left hand corner of the page.

3. search away

4. search by the country of origin of the photographer

have fun!

Thanks for those links, there are lots of great pictures there, but what I'm actualy looking for is sort of a storybook version of a trip through an area with a mix of pictures and acompanying story. I'm guessing a travel blog would work well but most of the ones I've found are text blog entrys and then one big gallery of pictures and I'm not sure I can put all the pictures into context after reading the story.

That looks like exactly what I was looking for. A map of the route and a chronological listing of all the pictures. My guess is lots of people have blogs like this but I havent had much luck finding good ones.

I usually browse around WWM's (Worldwidemike) page. He's a member here....hopefully he doesn't mind me posting a link to his site.

Also, in another thread Omisan has basically what you wanted. His January 2004 album is in paris. If you can't find the thread the link is here.

Hope you find what you're looking for!

(hope you don't mind omi... you had it posted on TP anyway..)

I've also got a couple of UK travelogues with photos in the Full Travelogues section... Might be of help, might not!
