Ok, so I have been sent out to work in the Bahamas, and now I'm back in the states until the 26th.. That's when I'm gone for good (or the next year).. Here are some pics.. You can see more at www.fotki.com/jiveturkey
The island I will now live on...
Me working on the island feeding and training stingrays...
Days the ship is on the island are called 'call-days' and right now we are only at 2 call days a week... and there is less then 30 people that live on the island.. so new faces are always welcome!
Well, that's all I'll post on here.. When I'm out there we only have dial up internet over a sat connection.. so needless to say I can't upload a lot of photos..

It must be really rough when you have to move to the Bahamas. I hope living there isn't too stressful.

I give it bonus points for the sheer coolness of the job (how many people can say they did THAT for a living) and the breathtaking scenery!

The living arrangemnts on the island for the crew is they have to share a room with 1 other person.. then they have to share a bathroom with another room (it's in the middle) so they share it with 2 other people.. as a manager I'm a bit more lucky. I have my own room, bathroom, and office. We have a 'mess hall' on the island and the cooks are awesome.. good food.. the best part is you don't pay for anything at all and take as much as ya want..
The ship is pretty big... I think it holds around 2,800?

I'll be submitting my resume to Disney Cruise Lines at the end of this month/beginning of next...so who knows, maybe I'll get to meet you on Castaway Cay JiveTurkey
I kinda doubt it though, because since Disney only has two ships, openings don't come up as often as say Carnival. I will keep my fingers crossed though!
