That is some of the Alaska pictures I took. Not all of them since I don't have neough space on Flickr to put them all up yet. The first few pictures are from Aus, but the rest are all in Alaska. Just figured I would toss out a few if anyone was intrested.

Thanks. I have more that I will have to put up next month (since I am already at the monthly upload limit) of Australia and a few other places, but this is nice for now.

Thanks a lot. Those were great to take since we were up in a little three person plane flying over them and around the moutains and glaciers.
The eagle was terrifying to me. The only thing I am afraid of really is birds and well, one that is about 3.5 to 4 feet tall with talons the size of my hands is more than intimidating. Especially when I was taking my picture with one and my friend yelled out "Oh shit, look out" as he was gonna take it. Sure the thing didn't move but I did about 20 feet away from the thing is 1.3 seconds.
Oh by the way, anyone looking, there are three folders on the left hand side that have more pictures in them.

I know what you mean about eagles!! Yikes. I drove right past one that was hanging out on the side of the road-- he was probably less than 5 feet away from my car as I went around a 90-degree turn, so of course we had to slow down and gawk. The fucker was looking me right in the eye as I drove past! You can hear about how large they are all your life, but until you actually see one in person you have no idea. And of course they're beautiful.

Yeah once I saw how huge, strong and powerfull, but yet gracefull, free, and nice looking they were I knew right away why they were picked as the national symbol.
And to think we almost got stuck with a turkey.

Yeah the glacier flight was my favorite thing there I think. I mean we got to see Alaska from a higher stance than most will, we saw some mountain goats on impossible to imagine areas of rock walls, we saw some moose drinking in the rivers, we saw the glaciers up close and the pilot was a real intresting guiy with some stories to tell.
VernAir is the name of the guys company that flew us around and I couldn't reccomend him more if you ever get the chance.
