Just thought i'd put up a couple of photos from my ride on the weekend. The bike is a 2001 model Yamaha WR250F, the rider is me, and the location is out the back of our property on a track that i made. Just out of curiosity, is anyone else on here into dirt bikes at all??

Cool pics. My old roomie was into that. He would go to races and what not on the weekends. That is some crazy stuff. I would hurt myself way too fast.

Cool pix! I admire the skills that go into riding like that. A friend of mine has been riding dirt bikes since he was like 12yrs old, so I'm familiar with all the injuries he's had over the years.

My dad used to race dirt bikes til he had a little accident that landed him in a body cast. Didn't stop him, though, he still rides the damn things now. And he didn't quit racing, either, he just switched to cars.

This is what I think of when I hear the word "riding": This is me, at the Evergreen Classic $25,000 Grand Prix in Redmond in about, oh, 1997? And actually I don't remember the full name of the horse, but we called her Wingnut. And those are approx. 5' to 5.75' fences, some with a width of over 7'.

^Still am, I guess. I don't ride as much now but once a horse person, always a horse person. I started when I was 14, so... 17 years? Damn, has it been that long?!Long enough to have racked up an impressive list of injuries and really, really stupid stunts. (Like taking a bet that one of my crazy buggers wouldn't jump over a moving car. We did, and I won $20 bucks, but still. WTF was I thinking?! haha, who am I kidding, I'd probably take the bet again today!)

I don't know, maybe about 15-20mph? Not too fast. And we went over it lengthwise, the car came at us head on and we just popped over it.

holy crap SV, jumping over a moving car on a horse, that's insane!!! I'd be asking for more than $20. I've said it before and i'll say it again, that's one hell of a big jump you're going over in that photo. I've watched a few 3 day events, you guys are crazy. I was into horse riding for a little while but i found out it's a lot harder than it looks and horses can be bastards sometimes, so i decided to just stick to my bikes

ooooooh ok that makes more sense. I was thinking that it was coming & you had to estimate when it would hit that area and jump it sideways, which is slightly tricky to do if you miscalculate, it could whack your horse's legs off to the side. def no good That's a lot wiser though, because then it's just like hitting a jump normally except you're not the one accelerating so much
