Oh yeah it would be kind of cool if a mod would delete the campfire pic so that all of the posts weren’t running off the page..... Just a thought. Ted can shrink it down and repost it if he wants....

just wanted to say thanks for all the positive feed back about the photos!
i think i will give that backpacker contest a try.
its too bad i dont know how to post the video's of them crossing, ithink its the sound that really makes it impressive. i'm not as emotional as mowark about it but i'm sure if i had a soul i would have even cried when i was there. if you have never been to the tetons or yellowstone you really should!
any way lots of ya'll seemed to dig the buffalo pics so here are the last two, also forgot to mention any pic with me in it was shot by my home girl carly...

Those are awesome pics

I went to Yellowstone and the Tetons this past summer and loved it. Only wish I would have had more time. Did some great white-water-rafting on the Snake River

I've thought of heading out there myself before. Now how do you actually get to it? I mean if I were to fly into Wyoming somewhere are there busses that drop you off or anything? I gave it casual thought before but now might want to look into it a bit more.

If you live on the continent I suggest driving. It's a beautiful drive no matter what direction youre coming from. Otherwise, you can get a flight into Jackson Hole Wyoming (probably pretty expensive though). Its a desolate state population wise vs. area so that's really your only choice. Just North of Jackson Hole is The Grand Tetons which is an amazing park that easily rivals Yellowstone. Grand Tetons are considered the best place to watch for wildlife in N. America. They have moose, bears, coyotes, and on and on all in big quanities. Anyway, from Jackson Hole (which is a really cool ski town) you can get a bus to both the Tetons and Yellowstone no problem. Its nice to have your own car in Yellowstone though because it is a huge park with lots of cool things spread over hundreds of miles. Its a magical place.

So on my "list of things to do before I die" one of the thinsgs is to visit yellowstone and another is drive to california(from indy) without using an interstate Highway, I plan on doing this next summer 2006(this summer is europe) and camp most of the way. I may have to spend some major time in yellowstone... I never realized just how beautiful the park really was.. the pictures you two took really captured that beauty.

Thanks, but I should mention that some of mine are actually from the Grand Tetons which borders on the South of Yellowstone

tetons was my fave too just because there are less people around. in yellowstone watching the people is almost as interesting as the wildlife.

Thanks for the info. This might be a cool trip somewhere down the line. Even if it is just for like 4 days or something at some point. Maybe make a long weekend out of it or something. I know that is probably short but it would be a nice way to spend a few days.
