Rack is made by a company called "Garvin", not really the best rack ever but I got it cheap and then went after it with the welder and beefed it up a little.* Oh and those are just basic Yakima bars and kayak saddles that I mounted up on top of the rack.

Picture is taken on the Louisiana coast, the truck has made it down to Mexico though.* The Border Patrol has a field day when you have long hair, are by yourself, and the inside of your truck looks like this.........*
Are you allowed to drive onto the beaches there or is this more of a off the beaten path kind of place?

I’m pretty sure that all over the U.S. you can drive on the beaches, I know it’s that way in Texas.

nah, you can't drive on them all voer the place. you can drive on most public beaches in Louisiana and Texas for sure as well as most of the beaches of the OBX. Florida and California definitly seem to really limit the amount of beach that can be driven on. Most of the areas where the beaches are very developed and get lots of people traffic generally aren't going to let you drive on them, but very underdeveloped ones generally don't care plus its sometimes the only way to realistically access the area, I mean in Texas for example you have 15 miles of deserted beach on north padre and several miles of the same on the south padre. Ever tried to hike 15 miles in sand??

SV, I too know the joys of an older Mercedes.

Here's me in April 2004 with my baby, Cedes as I like to call her.
She is an '89 300E. The odometer stopped at 191k miles, and I figure she now has approximately 275k. I sold her to my brother in August 2004 when I moved up here to Canada, as she would have cost me nearly as much as I paid for her to meet Canadian specs and get registered and insured here. I absolutely fell in love with not only Mercedes-Benz when I got this car, but especially the engine and chassis (W-124). It's considered just about the best and longest-lasting Mercedes ever made. As SV said, 90% of the time with an older Mercedes, as long as it has been cared for and routine stuff has been done, it'll go hundreds of thousands of miles with just regular oil changes and maintenance. I intend to buy a 300E or CE (same car, 2-door convertible! ) that's really been cared for when I'm able to afford again to have a car - and then I'm going to pimp it out like the ones you see in the Bourne Supremacy!

I love the Mirth Mobile, EV. Tpunk, NICE G35. Infinitis are beautiful.
And Jake, you should deck out your golf cart Van-Wilder style with the mirrors and the alarm
Everyone else that posted pics of their rides, very nice - I miss having a car Especially cause I want to go to Vancouver right now with a friend that's visiting from Finland but we can't afford bus/train/flying, so driving was the best option...but of course, I don' t have my own car.

Here around me in Massachusetts and NH you can't drive on any of the beaches that I know of.

We set a record the other weekend in the Mirth - four passengers, pretty good considering it's a two seater and the boot is real small!

(Mind you the passengers were quite intoxicated)
