So I got to go and meet the Beasties last night in San Francisco. Ad Rock was fairly chill. MCA was super-nice - totally grounded and friendly. Mike D.. erm.. he was looking like Perry Farrell with only slightly less hard drug intake. Probably why he was in the big glasses & hat, as he looked pretty beat-up. He was also the unfriendly one, only mugging when the camera came out. So I had to give him the bunny ears... For a bunch of old men, the show rocked! Would've been cool if we'd met Mixmaster Mike, though.

Oh yeah, and how'd you get to meet them? Did you have connections or just in the right place at the right time? I need to figure out how I'm going to meet my boys next year.

Yup.. my hair's longer now. It's in a little bit of a mullet since I'm still having Spain withdrawals
As for how I got in, I know people.. you know? In this case, I knew someone who won a contest to go meet them & get tickets to the show last night and tonight. Ok, so maybe I don't really know people, per se...
I've actually done a bunch of things like this. You just gotta enter every contest out there. So when U2 comes around again, I'm sure there'll be plenty of opportunities. For the Elevation tour, every Clearchannel station (gak!) was giving away tickets to meet them and get tickets in the Heart.
