Default Photos from Lake Garda and Verona, Italy

I just got back from my holiday to Italy, I was only away for a week, but it was nice to have a break before coming back to uni! Anyway, here's a few pictures. Sorry they're not very good, I'm rubbish at taking photos...

- We took a walk along part of the lake for about 3 or 4 miles, it's so beautiful. The water was ok to swim in, but veeeery cold til you got used to it!

- This is a town called Malcesine. The ferry stops here, and takes passengers to towns and villages all around the lake. You could also rent sail boats and speed boats. I thought the buildings were really beautiful.

- We took the ferry across the lake to a few different towns. This was taking during a ferry trip.

- The castle in Malcesine.

- We took a bus trip (hell yes, I went on an organised tour, come on, just try and shoot me down!!) into the Dolomite mountains. As you can see, the weather was very bad to start with - the cloud was so thick we could hardly see anything.

- In the mountains were lots of small towns and villages where the residents were most Austrian and German. It was very bizarre being in Italy, but being greeted and conversing with people in German. The buildings all had very heavy Austrian influences.

- We went into the ampitheatre in Verona. They were preparing for an opera performance that evening, so there was a lot of construction work going on. This is the only remaining part of the original outer wall.

- The view from the bridge at the entrance to the city walls.

- What trip to Verona is complete without going to see Juliet's house with the famous balcony? Cheesy, I know!

- At the entrance to Juliet's house, there is a passageway which is completely covered with love notes written by visitors. There was literally not a single bit of space left on the wall.

Haha, I admit, I was tempted, it looked like fun! But I didn't feel her up in the end, I thought the poor girl looked a bit over-cupped!
