Default They're DONE, finally. INDIA.

Alrighty then, I got them uploaded and tagged and all that crap. Here you go, this makes up almost all of my pictures of India (edited for length, of course, because I'd put you all to sleep otherwise). They are pretty much in chronological order. Mostly.

FYI-- when you click on "Taj Mahal", there are two sub-albums there of the Agra Fort and Fatehpur Sikri. In my opinion these have some of the most interesting and beautiful examples of Moghul architecture to be found anywhere in India (besides the Taj). In the very last Fatehpur Sikri photo, I'm wearing my Official TravelPUNK! August 2006 Camp Out t-shirt. And I was irritated at the time too, but that's another story.

Yep, it's for real. He was a very sweet kid too. The second day I was there he was wearing an old, ragged t-shirt that said "I'm too sexy for this shirt". I am not making this up.

The gypsy children where some of the best pictures for me. The Kashimir Mountains is nothing like I thought it'd be (not that I'd given it too much thought...). i also loved the ones of the boat house. That livingroom is unbelievable!!

So, after my office was saved.. I gotta say tanks for showing me a whole new side of the world I had never thought much of besides the Taj Mahal.

The Kashmir Himalayas are completely different from the Sikkim/Nepal Himalayas. It's very interesting. Sikkim felt similar to home (here in the Pacific NW) as far as the climate and vegetation is concerned, whereas in Kashmir it was a lot more pine forest, deciduous trees and dry weather. What a difference about 1500 miles will make.

I also have videos to upload of the gypsy children singing and dancing. That will be coming soon as well...

Duh, I'm a jackass! The videos of the gypsy kids are already uploaded. Here they are:

1:

2:

The male voice singing along is my cook/guide, I think his name was Bashir but he insisted I call him cook, and I'm terrible with names anyway. He was a great guy. In the second video on the far left you can see some glimpses of Neesar, who while being somewhat charming when I first met him actually turned out to be an ass. A greedy, ungrateful ass. Not that I have an opinion about it or anything, and if you didn't read the story in the blog you probably don't have a clue what I'm talking about anyway... never mind.
