hey, i'm trying to keep my spending on the low side, paying off some debt and saving for a may 05 trip, so i was curious is anyone has any weekend mini getaway ideas. i keep pretty busy during the week with work and everything else that needs done, but i find its the weekends that get tricky. if i don't do something mildly entertaining then the following work week seems to drag miserably, but i aslo dont really wanna spend a lot of $...what do you all do if you have been in this situation?
i go camping or mountain biking or rock climbing or just drive as far as i can one direction then pull over sleep and walk around some town i have never been too before (those little walk around towns are getting very hard to find these days. damn corporations) But my fav is definitly picking up a map. pinpointing some obscure lake and figuring out how to get there. then crashing in my sleepin bag next to it and biking around it the next morning
definite good times to be had.
