If you are looking to europe cheap first off start with the off-season I repeat i cannot tell you enough although you may miss most of the festivals ....
1. Smaller line-ups for attractions
2. Hostels and Hotels and half of the price and easier to book
3. Public transportation is less busier
4. Lots of discounts and special offers
Off-season!
Also try portugal in october and novmber!
I find most travellers ignore portugal I stayed their last year at a 4 star hotel in the offseason for 20 euros a night
A pint of beer 1 euro!
Fish and chips 3 euros!
So i went out had three pints of beer fish and chips and a four star hotel for about 25 euros!!!!
It is full of culture and you cant beat the prices
1 euro for a six pack of beer
1 euro for a bottle of wine!
Of season and find the hidden gems stay away from those tourist traps!
