So I noticed in another thread Kelly mentioned opening a bank account in Oz before she went there. I know she's going for a while so it probably makes a lot of sense.
Would it be worth even taking the time to look into it if I were going to Western Europe for 6 weeks? Is it something worthwhile to have and that can be done over the internet?
Just a thought. Still planning on using my US Visa Check card but if it's easy and better...

For six weeks I wouldnt bother opening a bank account. I would just prepay my visa and charge most stuff, like rooms and food.
If you were planning on being there for a year than I would look into opening an account. But not for six weeks. Just my opinion though!
