im sure theres already been a thread about making money by doing clinical drug tests, but couldnt find it
anyway, a warning to anyone seriously thinking about it: Drug trial men 'seriously ill' i was considering it, i mean you dont expect them to test anything dangerous, but i suppose thats why the pay is so good! |
I'm not sure in other countries but in the States the volunteers have to be informed of all known side effects and such. I mean if something says "may cause you to blow up like an elephant man" I wouldn't take it.
I'm doing a clinical trial right now and I'm doing fine. Other than messing with my 'cycle' nothing bad has come of it. And I get free birth control. Not too bad for $450 towards the travel fund. |
Yikes. This is why I'd be weary of them trying anything experimental on me. They have to find out those side effects somehow! :doctor:
I've considered doing some, but never have. The money would be nice! |
Yeah, that was some pretty freaky news today. Ick. And sure, they're supposed to tell you about all known side effects, but if it's the first trial on humans, how do they know what the side effects are? Oh, by the way, there may be a risk of massive organ failure...
:tumbleweed: |
Well most test it on animal subjects first.
|
wow i know this is supposed to turn me off of drug testing...but its something I totally forgot about for making money. Blink, how did you find get into it?
|
Craigslist.com also if you do a google/yahoo search for "clinical trials in baltimore/philly/san fran/etc" it should come up with a few. Most websites have a list of current trials running.

My brother did one about a year ago but it was specific to diabetics and was only short-term. I got a copy of a book by the movie director Robert Rodriguez (Sin City, Spy Kids, El Mariachi/Desperad/Once Upon a Time in Mexico trilogy) for a friend but I took a look and apparently he financed his early short films (and partially funded El Mariachi, I think) by doing all of these clinical experiments, long term ones that paid a lot. But now he has scars on the backs of both his arms where the doctors doing one test on speed healing drugs had to take small portions of flesh where they applied the drug and the placebo to further study them.

Yeah I read about this today, really freaky. I applied with Parexel last year but ended up doing one with a different company. I had no side effects or problems whatsoever and made an easy 1800 pounds, but I guess it easily could ahve turned out differently. Hopefully these guys are all right, but at least mabye this will result in higher compensation for participants.
