Hey guys, I posted a question earlier today re money. Im in Europe and UK for 4 months and plan on backpacking around for the first time. Some places I want to visit include ireland dubrovnik, italy, spain. I do have friends to stay with in london and scotalnd but I'm finding it hard to work out how much money I need. Help! I'm going to be staying in hostels. Im also wanting to do a trip to new york whilst I'm in London. IKf anyone could give me an idea of Euro's etc I'll need for my trip, or daily budget I should work on, that would be great. thanks

hey, im not sure i can help too much with the budget since i'll just be setting off on my first trip march 1st, but depending on when you were planning on heading over to new york from london, you should check out US Airways they're having an awesome sale on flights to/from europe. I got a flight from Philadelphia to london for just over $300 USD, HOWEVER, you need to book by Jan 23rd i believe and travel by March 31st i think so it might not work out with your schedule.

good luck
AC

I reckon about 50EU a day should just about do it. Hostels are about 20 - 25 a night and if you cooked your own food most of the time you could get away with maybe 10 for food a day. Then the rest could go on sight seeing and/or partying. However, I think London is a bit more expensive.

Hope this helps.
