Excluding airfare, train tickets, and hostel...is $500 enough?
I'm not a partier and I dont think I'll drink very much (dont drink over here...but, well we'll see) I've bought all my gear (TY kingcrazylegs! I love that dana pack). In terms of food, sights, drink, general merriment supplies, and...stuff, is that a safe amount? or should I mooch some off of relatives?
Danke.

Yeah, you *should* be fine. But if the mooching won't make you feel like too much of an asshole and you'll be a little more comfortable with some extra cash-- go for it.

If you eat in the panerias and from markets in Prague you should manage no problem. There's lots to do for free or cheap, and buy the week long transit pass - unlimited travel for about 8 bucks (US). Good for buses, trams and metro. Don't know anything about Dresden, though, sorry.

You and your filthy mind.
