Hey all,

I`m off about the start of August for 3 months in Russia(1 month will be in Siberia doing volunteer work, so won`t be spending much there(200Euro maybe).

I figure 3 months in Russia staying in hostels and camping etc..buying food in supermarkets, street food/cheap restaurants at evening...and train-ing it about the place from St. Pete to Vladivostok....that i should be able to do that with 2000 Euro for 3 months.???

And the another 3 months traveling though China(i want to visit Beijing, Shanghai, Canton/Hong Kong, - then through Veitnam to S.E. Asia - costing another 2000 Euro for 3 months.Possible?

Anyone think i`m being a bit idealistic????

I have`nt traveled Russia/Asia before - so i`m lost when it comes to costs.
But going on my spending habits in E. Europe, i manage to have a great time and sleep/eat/drink well on 800/1000Euro per month.

Hope someone can answer me on Russia/Aisa!


Good knows where the hell i`m going to get the money to fly back home to Ireland though!!!!Take the bus i guess...
