Ok, sorry if this has been asked a million times but...
I'm hearing mixed reviews on the ISIC card for western Europe. I checked out the discount booklet and am not very impressed. Most discounts listed are available only in big cities and many are for touristy and gimmicky restaurants that just don't jive with me. The museum discounts are appealing but i'm not sure if they alone will be worth it. In case you're wondering, I will be in Switzerland, France, and Spain for about 4 months.

I had an ISIC card when I was in europe and the only thing I found it useful was for getting discounted flights and such. Most places will give you a student discount (if they are gonna give one) with a student ID. Hope that helps.

I didn't have one last summer in Europe and there were at least several times where I could've gotten a few euro discount if I had had it. So, I guess it depends on how much you can get it for. I would say if it's $20 US or less, it would probably at least pay for itself.

If I remember correctly it cost around $25US if you were a student and a little more if you were not but still under 26 yrs old.

Doesn't really sound worth it. I probably would save a few bucks, but I think I'll just bring along my student card and try that.
Thanks guys.
