Now that I am back in Chicago I am working from home for the same non-profit as I was working for in Belize (I am recruiting volunteers for short term work in Belize).
Now I am trying to figure out some other part-time at home work I can do to earn a little extra money...any ideas? Anybody else work at home? |
wish i could help you out, i have been trying to figure out the same thing forever
|

There are always ideas out there. Just takes an entrepreneurial spirit to find them and motivation (i lack the motivation, damn my mother for smoking and doing drugs during pregnancy, i knew i was deprived of something.) Anyways, like I said there are always things you can do.
For example: doing drop shipping sales on e-bay. The trick is finding a wholesale drop shipper that you can buy something cheap enough to be able to auction at a high enough price on e-bay. Like if you look for something like poker chips on e-bay, almost all of them regardless of who is selling them are coming from 1 of 2 suppliers. This option requires a fair amount of research on the internet. There is always the option of spending the money ($40-100) and getting the resources from a site. I don't know how well this works. But besides the trip to the post office there seems to be a fair number of people making a decent living off of this, and therefore part time work should be plentiful. Web Page Design Stuffing Envelopes Sales Sorry I have been distracted, so I will have to think of things later. |
Daytrading on the forex market is tempting - but the software is pricey (~$2G with discount) and you do need some capital to start with.
It's still relatively unheard of in this country because it only became legal here a few years ago. People have been doing it for decades in other countries, though. (Funny how "free" we think we are, but really it depends in what areas.) But, just think about how much the Euro has risen in the last few years (~30%) - and you can see the profit potential. Anyways, I wouldn't mind trying it if I had the time and the start-up cost was a bit lower. Maybe someone else here can give it a shot, first? |
I would give my right leg to work from home...actually...if that did happen I probably could work from home...hmmmm
anyone have a hack saw? I'm having one of those days :boxing: |
Okay, this is something I've been looking into for awhile. Oooh, can you share info on doing what you're doing? (Belize)
Anyhow, without going through a company directly that's looking for someone to work from home, it's kind of hard to find a legitimate gig. DON'T PAY! Things like building stuff at home, stuffing envelopes, etc are all scams. Don't believe me? Try for yourself. :) Here are some ideas - I'll try not to post too many links so I don't see like I'm spamming! Phone "actress" (aka phone sex operator) or phone psychic - must have lan phone line. Just search for either of these - there's plent of free opportunities, so don't pay for any. Surveys - NFO is a good place. I've actually received checks - not a huge source of income, but a little in your spare time is good. Selling stuff Avon, Mary Kay, Partlite, "toys" realy toys, etc etc. Ameriplan Otherwise, other than finding things accidentally or searching like on monster.com or something, it's really hard. If anyone finds anything really good, please share! Oh, and going off the eBay thing - you can buy stuff at flea markets and stuff and sell it at a higher price on eBay! Jamie |

Well in a nut shell I market home loans(first-time buyers or Refinance a home), retirement accounts(IRA, Traditional IRA, Self-Employed Pensions, 401k for companies, Variable Annuities), Mutual Funds(emergency accounts, short-term goals, long-term goals)
Life Insurance, Long-term Care(and insurance to be taken care at home), Prepaid legal Service(when ever you need legal advice) It works great for me and I do it when I want. Ofcourse the more I do it, the more I make. Since its a commission base business |

I know some companies will let you work from home and even where i work (A small canadian internet company) we have employees who do the work from home. Although typically you start in the office due to trust issues. Ha ha.
You should always start up shop as an artist too! If you have those sorts of skills! Jenn |
