Default Reward Programs

I've been looking at some different travel reward programs and I was wondering if anyone has any ideas which ones are the best/fastest to accumulate? I was looking into air miles and the BMO mastercard where you get miles for the money you put on the card and I was also looking at aeroplan miles and such. I don't really know many others since I'm from Regina, Canada which isn't exactly what you would call an air hub.

Thanks!

Sorry, being from the States I dont have specific Canadian answers for you.

Rewards programs are good but they're not the super-savings people might think. It takes a long time to build up Miles or rewards to go anywhere (although it does happen - I just took a trip to Africa where I bought the ticket on airline miles).

I usually buy the cheapest ticket i can find, I dont worry about which airline its on just for the miles.

That said, its not as though you're limited - sign up for several! (but only one per group i.e. don't sign up for both Air Canada and United since they're both in the Star Alliance.)
