pre-trip spend up!
so i've got maybe 9 days till i leave and all of a sudden after a rather frugal past 12months i seem to be spending up a storm! theres so much i keep thinking i should get/ organise and for the mose part the spending has remained pretty sensible, but i cant help but laugh at the craziness of the situation, i've got to shop so much of the last few weeks its been a blast lol! anyone else experienced this?

Hahaha... I was buying important stuff up to the last minute!! So much so that I couldn't find a plug adapter anywhere, and I wound up buying it in the airplane! (which turned out to be cheaper than the ne my mum had seen here in Buenos Aires).
So enjoy! don't go too crazy and really think what IS important. I never used my lotion, EVER, I lost my face wash, I never took a face mousturizer and had to buy one in Ireland, but it just makes things fun... shopping for every-day stuff at a completely different country, in another language! I loooved hitting supermarkets abroad. Specially Prague! It makes you hate yourself for buying a bottle of Coke for twice or thrice it's price anywhere else. The supermarket there is SOOOOO cheap!

Ahh thats my favorite part, buying all the shit you need in the weeks leading up to departure, it gets me excited and makes the trip feel like it is finally getting fucking close!

ha..this thread made me laugh..Because I am trying to use up all my half used toiletries during this month. So when I leave on sept 2 I'll have all brand new topped up bottles...I keep rubbing extra lotion on my legs trying to get rid of everything..hehe..

Haha Marc I feel totally the same way. The plane ticket and the travel items make it feel really real.
On my second trip I got my PS S3 digital camera for Japan. It rocked! (if anyone else is in the market for a new digital camera)
