Default Cash?

Hey guys. I am new to the site, as I plan to do Europe in August. Hope to travel for about 12 months, working along the way. I am going on my own at this stage, as none of my friends are really that keen on travelling, but I wanna do it now while I'm young (21). My major concern is cash? How much do I take to start with? Is it dificult to land a job? Any advice/tips would be greatly appreciated! I plan to keep up to date with the site, as it seems to have a lot of great people attatched! I'm from Perth, Western Australia btw. Cheers!

Hey

Im pretty much in the same boat, i'm heading over with a mate in may and im also wondering how much cash i'll need.

Im thinking with all my flights etc already paid for, that i should take 10k, as well as my credit card which carries a 5k limit (which im happy to max out).

That gives me 15k and hopefully if i pick up some work here and there on the way i should be sweet

what were you thinking?

Yeah mate I think thats a pretty safe sort of estimate. I'm hoping to have at least 10k in the bank to go with. I've got my return ticket, which is left open. So if I get into any sort of trouble, I can at least get home! Where are you headed?

Hey guys I'm Looking to leave with 10k in my pocket also whilst aiming to stay for 3 months or longer but I don't plan on working at this stage.

I thing that'll be plenty of cash to get you set up somewhere and find some work. I think your best bet is to get as much as you possibly can. Over budgeting is never a bad thing.

In case your curious I'm leaving at the start of May and will be including the Bulls in my travels.
