Are you calling me stupid.
no, I'm just saying that you'll severely limit yourself if you only use a wysiwyg editor.

I did my band's site with a mix of dreamweaver and hardcoding

Nice site, do you ever use photoshop and imageready? I use them all the time but thats just because I can make something good looking without getting into the script.

The only handcoding I do is fixing really messed up cells or entering code snipets. It has to be done for photshop headers and stuff as well. But I avoid it at all costs.

I do web dev for a living and love dreamweaver (though it has it's qwerks). And Word Up to the guy who mentioned the coupling of Adobe and Macromedia (Down with GoLive!). I do a lot of ASP programming, I find it's a bit more intuitive than PHP and if your looking to build your own blog or other types of database driven sites, I'd recommend it. I like http://www.htmlgoodies.com for good HTML and JavaScript tutorials and http://www.webwizguide.info/asp/tutorials/ for a good simple explaination and examples of ASP. Good stuff, you'll get addicted.
