my old piece of crap comp run win98SE.....will i have problems getting mp3s onto a new ipod photo or ipod mini?
|
Probably. I have never personally tried it. I have read a couple forums on the topic and apparently you have to locate a thrid party piece of software (not from apple) in order for it to work. According to the forum, its a pain in the ass. I suggest investing in a new computer (which costs the same as a high end ipod) and then getting the ipod later. An ipod is my number one item for any trip but you gotta have a good enough computer to back it up. Check out the $400 Dell desktops, they are actually pretty good for the price. Hope this helps man.

If you look on the Apple website, I-Tunes for Windows is compatible with only Windows 2000 and XP. Since you need I-Tunes to use the I-Pod, I think you are SOL. Unless there is a workaround somehwhere out there. I do not know of one. Good luck.
