Currently in the market... I'm sure there are plenty of threads about this, but maybe there is a deal going on right now?

Regardless, trying to find an unlocked phone, preferably with as many features for around the $100 mark. I really like the Sony Ericsson W580i, but kind of salty.

I will be using this in Australia/Canada/and maybe here. Canada/US use the same bands, but Australia is different(thus needing quad band).

Anyone have one that they could suggest? It would be nice to have one ready to go for my next trip to Canada in roughly a month, but otherwise I don't need one until January.

have you tried looking for a phone on ebay? a lot of the mototolas and blackberries now have that global chip and it works anywhere. my motorola slivr got reception in fucking afghanistan. then you can just buy a sim card in whatever country you go to. that's what I did. and my blackberry got reception everywhere I was in polang & germany & canada

sim cards I can help you with, dont know much about... ebay would be your best bet or go to your current provider and see what alliances they have in other countries. Maybe they could cut you a deal on a phone.
