Default Ipod

Hi,

I was thinking of taking my Ipod to Europe this summer. However, i am worried about the charging issue, ie where to do this and the amount of time it takes to charge the damn thing.

Has anyone taken their Ipod whilst travelling?

Most of the time you can find somewhere to charge it (and mobile phones, digital cameras or whatever). Try your hostel/hotel, sit in a restaurant or bar near a power point, on trains as previously mentioned, and once I even hitched a lift in a car that had a 12v - 220v adapter and charged my phone off that!

The best time of course is if you can get a bed near a power point so you can charge it overnight.

in most hostels what i have done to charge my mp3 player is plug the charger into the powerpoint, and put the actual mp3 into the locker and lock the locker, usually there will be enough gap between the locker and the door for the cord to fit through, so you can safely charge smaller items and leave them alone

I don't have an actual ipod charger, I only have the cable to connect it to the computer, so whenever I was in an internet cafe, I'd plug it into the computer and charge it up a bit while I was on the net.

Only once did it completely run out, and someone in the hostel very kindly let me use their charger, and I just did it while I knew I was going to be in the room for a bit.
