It's great! Had a few problems at first learning what video files were compatible as well as freezing problems. But now its working great have almost 900 songs (it holds up to 7500) and 3 videos (2 episodes of Family Guy and the whole Hostel movie). Great companion to have on my 1.5 hour commutes to and from work (total 3 hrs a day). Cant wait to travel with it!

Matt, I have a similar commute and the same iPod. I can't imagine rolling without it!

One of my friends has the 60GB and the extended battery pack thingamajig so she can watch movies on flights that don't have 'em. Might have to look into the pack!

hey guys when you are traveling how do you charge them? Is it the same here, just plug it into the computer to charge? I want to take my nano with me, but I want to make sure I can charge it. I'm guessing that if I just plug it into a SB port on any forieng computer it will charge, right? Sorry I'm not exactly a genius when it coems to electronics :D

I had one that seemed to be doing that. I fixed it though, I held the white select button in the middle and the menu button at the same time for about 5 seconds. It resets it and it fired back up without any problems.

Yeah, that reset trick works for most crashed/dead iPods. Before you make a warranty/service claim, walk into your nearest Apple store (if there's one near you) and the folks at the Genius Bar can usually fix it.

Patchouli - you'll either need to use the USB port to charge it, or you can get a power brick (approx US$30) that the cord can plug into. The brick has a built-in power converter, so you can use it in any country. You just need plug adapters like with anything else.

Whats the deal with this battery thing? Do they come with the 60gb ipod or can you buy them seperately?

Cheers

They're a separate purhcase...

Belkin Battery Pack

Alternately, you can build your own using an Altoids tin, but have fun explaining that bad boy to airport security

Kind of like when you listen to comedy on it. If youstart to laugh you just look like a madman since it seems so out of place.

^^ Kind of what I look like at the office, staring at my screen and smiling or laughing to myself when I'm going through the boards. :D
