I just bought one. It's waterproof!!!!! what more can I say? 6 megapixels has and internal memory (very small) but the kit I bought comes with a two gig memory card so I should be fine.... I have and addiction with buying new cameras... I just bought my Fuji Z1 a year ago.... oh well this one is WATERPROOF yeah that really sold me... and it's not just a little water resistant they advertise that you can take pictures under water... hell yeah!

anyone else have this one. what do you think?

check it out here www.h20camera.com

I'll try and write a better review when It arrives at my door step.... can't wait....

Overview
Summer's here, so bring it on. River rafting, pool parties, beach days and more. PENTAX Optio waterproof cameras stand up to it all. This is lifeproof digital that delivers both on land and sea.

Picture a slim, stylish design less than an inch thick that slips easily into a pocket or bag and features up to 6.0 megapixels and a 3X zoom lens (equivalent to a 38-114mm lens in 35mm format). Add a generous monitor with low reflection technology and a backlighting system, and the Optio waterproof cameras' LCD is easy to view even in sunny, outdoor conditions.

With a JIS Class 8 rating, Optio waterproof cameras are encased in a dust-resistant exterior with rubber sealants and lens protection that repels dust, dirt, moisture and opens a new world of photography up to five feet underwater for up to 30 minutes. Add a fast .6 second start up, a quick .05 second shutter release lag time, and a movie mode. Your wait is over for durable, action-ready digital.

I just read about it in Wired last night - it had lots of good things to say about it. Just remember to watch your depth

Ah, this reminds me of when waterproof watches started making it into the mainstream. Hopefully we'll get some of these in the next couple of years that are good for scuba, etc. Sweeeeet.

hell yeah I would love one in that price range that I could even withstand snorkeling... they rate it for 5 feet for 30 min which means that it would probably be fine if it fell to the bottom of a pool....

I wouldn't put that to the test. Water pressure mounts VERY quickly. The difference between 5 feet and 12 feet is significant - just be careful!

I am not disapointed.... I mostley wanted it so I could take it rafting/camping/raining and not have to worry about it getting wet.... welll here are some real photos

I got the silver one cause that is the only color I could get it in.... I kind of wanted the brown one.... butt ehhh

The lens is coverd by a piece of glass so it does all the zooming internally and yes you are supposed to dry it after you use it.

Thats a really cool camera and I kind of really want one now. I think the only setback for this thing is that the name sounds like a feminine hygiene product.

Owned, at one time, two K1000's. Awesome workhorse cameras... I've dropped one off the back of a moving military truck, and other than cosmetic damage, it came out unscathed.

Only bad part is they're all manual...

Nice Camera! I want one. What is the difference between a Optio W10 and a W20?

haha these things are so well-known for being indistructable. Mine got the test in Hawaii when it was in my backpack and I fell of my scooter. Kept on tickin. Although it opened up and i lost 1/4 of my film it was workin fine on the next roll. I love this camera, its such a beast.
