There are a load of reviews out there that say pretty much the exact same thing:
It's slow. It uses up battery power on both your iPod and your camera. But it's very convenient.
Personally, the eating battery power thing doesn't tick me off as much as the reviewers out there - that's what chargers are for anyway. It's not like I'll be transfering my photos in the middle of a hike. The convenience of eliminating the need to hunt down an internet cafe with a CD burner is pretty handy.

I have one and have used it. Its nice. It does kill the batter tho if you have a lot of pics. You have to do it once you hit about 400 pics or the battery on the ipod will die before its finished. Otherwise its great!

It's better if you get a couple of cards. Maybe a 512mb one, they're not very expensive-- I think around 30 or 40 bucks? And maybe a 1gig too, but I've heard stories about the larger cards becoming corrupted more easily (more so with compact flash memory, but it can be true with others as well). Either way, it's DEFINITELY a good idea to have more than one memory card for your camera.

Ebay's fine, but really, once you add up the shipping cost plus the wait for it to arrive, sometimes just spending the extra $10 or so to get it right away can be worth it.

Yes, they sell them in Europe but they tend to cost 20-30% more, even in the "cheaper" countries.
You can find out which online retailers have the best prices (and even calculate shipping, I believe) at dealram.com
Buy.com usually has great deals on memory cards, but search Dealram for the best, uh, deals.

trust me on this one... as a person who views ipods everyday use cards not the ipod is not reliable enough to put photo's on. if you have copies of the photo's elsewhere then it might be ok to do it but you could easily end up losing all photo's
