if i heard someone say "I'm all set" when i asked if they were right i would assume it meant they were ready to order... hmmm..
i can't remember who it is but one country doesnt understand the concept of a shout, which is kind of important to know in a bar.. is it americans that dont use that term? anyway to shout someone just means to buy their drink. you can shout one person or a group (or the whole bar if you feel generous). you often hear arguments about whose shout it is, as you really should take turns with your mates

We don't use the term "shout" in the States.. we go by "rounds" but generally the same rule applies - don't accept a shout/round if you don't intend to get one yourself, etc.

you can shout someone for dinner as well. saying "i'll shout you dinner" is a nice way of distinguishing between "i'll buy your dinner because this is a nice romantic date and i really like you" and "i'm buying your dinner because you're a good mate and i feel sorry for you having no money"

Yeah, "Im all set" must be an American only saying cause I got wierd looks when I said that England. It means I dont need anything else or Im all right. One English saying that struck me as wierd was "You're alright, mate" which I assume means "no thanks" or "no problem." Heard it all the time when I was trying to sell paintball tickets to people. "I know Im alright, but are you alright? Sure you dont want to play paintball?"
