Selling stuff?

So has anyone ever just set up a blanket or whatever somewhere lots of people pass by and tried to make money off of selling any little items, jewelry or whatever, they make? How'd it go?

It could work. I've made some money by doing henna on people in a hostel. I sat down in the common room and started drawing on my hand and people came up to me left and right asking about it, so I offered to give them something small for cheap or free. Inevitably they'd want a bigger design, lol. It was a slow time too, I'm sure I could have made a frickin' KILLING in the summer (if only I could bring myself to go to Europe in the summer). A friend of mine got stuck in Amsterdam and needed about 50 euros to pay for an unknown departure tax on her airline ticket. She had 3 euros to her name, so she sat in a pretty, crowded park and started drawing on herself. In a few hours she made the 50 euros and then some.

I started making hemp stuff to do it in tempe arizona by ASU but I don't have enough yet.

Didnt sell stuff on the street, but I knew I would be in London for a while and would be short on funds so I brought stuff to sell at a pawn shop there. It worked out pretty well, I got pounds for the stuff which is better than I wouldve gotten back home. I brought obsolete electronic stuff and they seemed to be pretty willing to buy it. Hehe, I had this combination knife/pliars thing that the pawnshop wouldnt buy becuase it had a blade, but the guy behind me in line bought it for 15 pounds. I was happy.

Hum....that would be interesting...spread out your blanket and lay down and put up a sign "Donations"
