Back when I had actually planned to go over to Europe this summer (lack of bling-bling caused a slight change in plans), I saw people mention TEFL as a way to stay over there and make some extra money. Apparently, with a little work, you could be certified to help people learn English (this was the impression I got from a post on the board).

Well, new plans have been drafted and it would be rather helpful to have some extra cash to stay a little longer after I study in Prague in the spring. But I went to the site and now it looks like it's become all professional. It's like Monster.com for english teachers. Now it says I have to pay $800-1200 to get certified.

Was this always the case? Anyone know what I'm talking about?

Help.
