Hi everybody! I was asked a question by a friend of mine wondering how he would go about obtaining a work visa for the United States. I thought i would post on the message board to see if u guys knew how, as i didn't have an answer for him. Keep in mind we are Canadian Citizens and i'm not sure what all the rules and regulations are. I guess he is looking for like a working holiday visa. About 6months to a year. Thanks!

I found this info for ya foreign workers in USA I don't know if it is what your looking for , but i is a start.

As a Canadian, you might have a problem, I think it has to be proven that the job your wanting to do, can not be done by an American. I THINK that is how it works.

Hope it helps

Usually you have to get sponsored by a company before you´re able to get a work visa here.

This sitehttp://www.easyvisas.com/faq.asp addresses some of those questions, but I don´t really know what it is they´re selling so research it first(or have your friend research it) before giving out the credit card digits.

On that page was thins link http://www.dfait-maeci.gc.ca that has work exchange programs for Canadian students(I think you currently have to be a student full or part time, but not completely sure).

Hope it helps your friend!
