Charity Fundraisers?

I've seen a lot of ads online for jobs as "charity fundraisers." Pay is alright and it seems pretty flexible to me. Anyone had any experience with this? I don't mind being outside and I think I'm pretty good at approaching people.

I'll be in London for 3 months and hoping to find a job that allows me to skip out for 3-4 days a week every other week.

No, not yet. I wanted to find out a little bit more from people who had done this sort of job before I made any type of commitment.
