Under the table basiclly means no paper work, at least from my understanding of it. I might be wrong. So a verbal agreement to do work is pretty much all you have to do.

You do work they pay you cash. Talk to the owners of whatever business and usually you will be able to tell if they need an "extra hand".

You can usually find 'em by word of mouth at hostels.

Just be warned - there are some employers out there who are quite aware of the advantage they hold over under-the-table employees. For example, I met a handful of people who worked off-the-grid for a hotel in London, and they were being screwed back and forth for pretty paltry pay. Their manager would often threaten to withhold pay if they didn't stay extra hours, etc.

Best case for under the table work is that you try to work out some sort of payment plan like cash at the end of the day or weekly. Unless you really trust these people I wouldent wanna go longer then a weekly payday. Cuase all they really have to say is nah fook it we arnt gonna pay you and then all you can really do is throw a rock through their window!

Man omi if I got jerked around like that I would take my money when they give it too me and then just nver show up again, thats a shitty situation!
