Do I need a c.v for when I go for jobs in oz? They will be just bar jobs and fruit picking etc....But will they need all my past jobs info?

Beady,
I'd imagine that if you're not an OZ citizen, or a working visa, then you may not need a CV (Curriculum Vitae/Resume).
Bar jobs, or even hostel jobs that pay "under the table," will most likely be conducive on your outgoing personality and your ability to mix drinks.

I wouldn't worry about it, but that's just my opinion :greenguy:

Hi Beady, I think you would be silly NOT to have a CV/Resume. Even if you create one, save it in your online email (yahoo/hotmail) and print one off when you need it. That way you wont have to physically carry one.

Ive lived in Australia all my life and have had a few casual and cash jobs while studying and they have always asked to see one. I usually got jobs by just going into places and asking if they had any work going and the first thing they would say is 'do you have a resume?'

Even for the unskilled jobs they ask, will have a quick look at it and then really only use it for your contact details.

Theres a lot of fruitpicking/bean picking what ever down these parts that they offer to travellers, even locals if you like that kinda thing. Im sure they are always looking for more workers...

I wouldnt mind picking grapes when i was in france. Aparently they dont pay much, but you get to drink as much as you like.

Sounds like a plan.
