Joan this is for you!
This week the United States gave to Caetano Veloso a permanent american visa !!! Now he can stay in America as long as he wants! The first time he tried to take his american visa it was denied cause he said during an interview that he thinks Bin Laden is "cute" Of course he was kidding. But the america embassy didn't like his joke. Next week he is going to New York cause he has 2 shows at Carnegie Hall.

That is great Bgirl... glad to be able to learn the basics. We should have a forum of basic language for different countries.

that's really good news, bgirl - because i would LOVE to see him perform again. the show that i saw was his first performance in the u.s. - boy, was he fantastic... even as he is older, his voice didn't falter at all and he had a great stage presence. what an incredible talent. it was so sweet, people kept calling out their requests and of course we're calling "menino do rio" and all the brazillians around us looked to us kind of silly... they knew he would save it for last - and he did. spectacular. thanks for the heads up!

Thanks Joan... I just got excited when I saw his interview today. It's not easy to get an american visa. And a definitive one is almost impossible. He looked very excited.

Obrigado teacher for all the new words. I will study them and see how it goes with these words.

bgirl, on friday i went to a churrascaria here in los angeles, and the food was really good. It was the same as I had in rio. the only thing that was not the same was the price, but it was worth it.

Bom dia bgirl,

I love barbecue llemus! hmmmmmm. Now I'm hungry!... We have a great churrascaria in Fortaleza... You can eat as much as you want (all kinds of meat, rice, beans, salads, pasta, french fries, eggs...) and you only pay 8,90 reais or 3 USD. Yes 3 bucks for a wonderful meal in a great restaurant!!!

By the way... Do you live in LA? I'll be there on June 24th! I'd like to invite you to drink a caipirinha with me... But I think It's gonna be difficult to find it in LA... Maybe we can drink a beer!

Yes I do live in L.A., and no they are not hard to find, I actually had a caipirinha that day too. it was really good. Just let me know in advance and that will be great.

Hey bgirl what is the name of the bottle that they make the caipirinha's with? I know the bottle has a number 51 on there.

oh by the way that charrascaria I went to it was a total of $150 dollars for four people. Can you believe that. I would love to pay what you pay for yours.

Let me rephrase that part of the caipirinha hard to find. they really don't have them here, but what I meant is that they had them in that churrascaria. I don't want you to think that they had them everywhere here.

Ok... We can drink whatever you want. If you have caipirinha even better . About the bottle... We call it "shaker". The number 51 is a publicity. It's the cachaça's name.
And I'm glad about our churrascaria's prices...
