Hey there all, I've made my mind up and I'm going to do a load of travelling in the coming year, starting off in South America (Rio). Now my question is I want to dothe whole, Rio, Argentina, Bolivia and Peru thing but would I be better off booking excursions when I get there or shall I book them now? just been speaking to a STA rep and he told me it will be around 3-4K (£) for the excursions which is a good price but this is only 120 days!?! Should I be looking at getting there, finding a group and then start planning trips?
I just want to get the jist of what people do and how they organise, do people just buy a RTW ticket and go or do they plan every single detail of the trip before hand?
Last question, should I go with a friend/ group or is it best to do it alone and meet people hopefully?
