I hereby rescind all nice things I ever said about you...

I'll check and see if I can find anything. Didn't Lost Farm Boy do a relatively cheap version...?

Think so, Mike. So far the airfare is within the budget, and Machu Pichu is as well with the one place i've researched...

This isn't gonna be the extreme cheap-o Costa Rica adventure (8 Days, $500... ) but I don't have the limitless funds to burn, either. I'm really just fishing for ideas. Now if I can work Nazca in, I'll be really pumped. But this is gonna be the most I can crammed into 7-8 days.

All right, Joker my friend, I went to the library and got the LP guidebook on Peru. It has a great section of the Inca Trail. I also found this website that lists licensed tour operators:

Inca Trail Operators

Here's the site of one LP recommends (with a cool name!):

United Mice

Looks like the price is going to be in the $375-$400 range, from checking a few. You stilll up for it?

Oh, and the guidebook says the best time to go is the May-September dry season. "At other times, trails have a tendency to turn into muddly slogs, and views disappear under a blanket of clouds." (LP) If you can change your month from April, I'd possibly be game. And the first website I listed said December and January are great months. I imagine January (if its possible to travel on such short notice, funds and time off wise) could be a cheap time, airfare wise, too....

Let me know, buddy!
