As you may know, I'm trying to come up with an itinerary for the Italy portion of my trip. My concern is how much travel time will affect the plan, and if I'm giving us enough time:
Day 01: Fly into Milan, proceed directly to Venice
Don't really care about Milan, we're flying from London
Day 02: Venice >> Florence
Day 03: Florence
Day 04: Florence >> Pisa >> Cinque Terre
Just need a couple hours in Pisa for the photo-op
Day 05: Cinque Terre
Day 06: Cinque Terre >> Ascoli Piceno
Not sure how long this will take: this province is near the east coast slightly north of Rome. Looking at the rail map we'll go down the west coast from CT, go east at Rome, and travel slightly north up the east coast and into the province. I don't think there's an easy way to do this, but it's important to me to get there.
Day 07: Ascoli Piceno
Day 08: Ascoli Piceno >> Rome
Day 09: Rome
Day 10: Rome
Day 11: Rome
Is there an easier way to do this, should I eliminate something? I'm not doing much planning for the rest of my trip, but I want to make sure I get this part right so everything comes together.
