Good work getting an itinerary together so fast!

How are you planning on getting about? Have you factored travel times into your days in each place? If you're traveling by train, you might want to consider overnight trips between say, Bordeaux and Nice, because that's a pretty long haul.

Do you have a specific reason for visiting Nice? I've never been, but from what I've heard, it's a spot you can drop if you want to add extra days to another city (or if travel times start eating into your itinerary too much). You also may not need as much time in Venice, unless you intend to hit a lot of the museums. We spent one day and night there (I'd definitely recommend staying in the city if you can - even though it's expensive, Venice late at night and early in the morning is utterly different and to me much more magical than during the tourist-crowded day), and though we didn't see many of the art treasures (we went to San Marco, of course, and the Doge's Palace), we had a wonderful time taking vaporetto rides and wandering the little alleyways of town. If we'd had more time, we could have easily filled it, but even in 24 hours we got an enticing taste.

Three to four days is a great intro to a place, so I think you're doing well with that, but as I mentioned, travel times may reduce the time you have in each place, so you might want to consider dropping a stop or two. Having said that, I hasten to add that on my first trip I spent no more than one or two days in most places and had an absolute ball, but looking back, I could probably have cut out several stops and had a less frenetic trip...

sounds like a wonderful trip...3 days in Budapest should cover a few basics...definately take some swimwear with you because Szechenyi baths should be great this time of year.

Looks good. You could spend less time in Venice and Nice and chuck a bit more time at Rome if you felt the need, there's A LOT to see in Rome. But that's just my opinion, you should make your mind up as your going.
