My plan in Germany and Szech
Hi,
Escaping from a conference in Stockholm, I made a plan like this for the end of June.
As a newbie I'm glad to know your comments:
June:
Version 1 --------
20: Fly from Stockholm to Berlin
21 - 23: Berlin
24: Train to Prague (take a morning).
25-27: Prague.
------------------
I wonder if 3,5 days for a city is too much?
I am thinking of adding Hamburg or Copenhagen to the list before Berlin, so it's like this and only spend 2 days for each city:
Version 2 --------
20: Fly to Hamburg (or Copenhagen)
21,21: Hamburg (or Copenhagen).
23: Speed train to Berlin (1h30) (or fly Copenhagen-Berlin), its only take 1h30 so the rest I will be in Berlin.
24: Berlin.
25: Train to Prague (take a morning).
26,27: Prague.
------------------
Thanks in advance.
Enjoy summer !

It really depends on the city and what you want to see. I think 3-5 days should be plenty.

I lived in Berlin and I totally think you'd be shorting yourself at 2 days. Prague too, I think. The year I went to Prague, I went once in the spring for 9 days and once in the fall for 2 or 3 days (can't recall exactly) and I still found things to do on the second trip. Lots of really interesting art and history in both cities. And 2 days each would short you on the culture of the place.

I agree with what has been said. Berlin and Prague are cities you could spend a whole week in each and not get bored. Also, there is the possibility to do daytrips outside the cities, if you really want to see something else.
Regarding your other post about adding Hamburg or Frankfurt to your itinerary, and would like to add my comment. Berlin is a green city with modern skyscrappers and historic quarters also. So, Frankfurt has no particular interest if you wanted to see something different from Berlin. Hamburg... after 90 minutes there, I wanted to leave really bad ! Since it is a harbor, it is yes different from Berlin, but honestly, unless a local takes you to the best places, the city isn't worth cutting a day off of Berlin. In my opinion, of course.
Which country are you from ?
