Default 1 Month in Europe

I am getting very excited as me and 2 friends leave on Tuesday to Inter-rail around Europe. Our itinerary is as follows:

Get over-night ferry from Hull (I live about 40 miles from Hull) to Zeebrugge and then have 3 days in Antwerp, to Paris for 3 days arriving on the Friday to make a weekend of it, 2 days in Bern, then on to Munich for 3 days and to celebrate one of my friends birthdays with a big night out , to Innsbruck for a couple of days, on to Vienna for 3 days with a visit to Bratislava on one of them, 2 days in Budapest, a 10 hour train journey:eek: to Krakow for 3 days one of which visiting Auschwitz on one of the days, then to Prague for 3 days, up north to Berlin for 3 days and then finally back west to Amsterdam for 3 days and then get the overnight ferry back to Hull from Rotterdam.

I think we have a good selection and there will definately be alot to see and apart from the Budapest to Krakow train journey I don't think any of them are over 6 hours so not to much of our time will be taken up traveling.

Hi and welcome to travelpunk !

You do have a great selection of cities, where there is a lot to do. You'll have a great time for sure !

Does the number of days you mentionned include the time to change city ? Otherwise, most of the 3-day stays are most likely to be : first day, arrival, third day, departure. So it implies there is only one full day to visit, and none on your two-day stay.

If this is the case, I'd suggest you skip one or two cities, to allow you at least two full days in the destinations of your choice. Or add another overnight travel, like Prague-Berlin for example.

Try to keep your itinerary as flexible as possible when on the road. Since you'll be travelling during the high season, it would be better to book your beds in advance, but this shouldn't prevent you from changing your itineray as you'd lose only a few $ if you skip one place.

Am I making sense ?

When I say 3 days I mean that I have booked 3 nights in Hostels so it means that I will have 2 full days, the ones where we are only staying for 2 days I see what you are saying but I think we will get a feel of the places. Thanks for the imput.
