Itinerary HELP!

okay, i want you to look at this proposed itinerary and give me your opinion:
VACATION LASTS 23 DAYS:

amsterdam 2 nights
berlin 3 nights
munich 3 nights
(maybe konigsee or salzkammergut) 1 night
garmisch/oberammergau 3 nights
sudtirol 3 nights
freiburg 2 nights
cologne 2 nights
hoge veluwe national park/ arnhem, holland 1 day
amsterdam 1 night

this totals 21 days, leaving 2 open - i guess travel time should be considered, any suggestions - be brutally honest.

Looks good to me. You will definitely have Germany covered! But what about Hamburg or Frankfurt? Any interest in other neighboring countries?

well, i have a sort of german pen-friend... he was recently in hamburg and advised me to skip it - saying since i live near the ocean already and because i only have a 6 day train pass for germany, that i could see cooler/more unique cities. his rationale had me wondering a minute too, but not that long. i opted to skip frankfurt myself becasue i thought it might be too industrialized and i love nature!

i didn't want to run around too much since our trip is only 24 days total, that's we we will primarily travel in germany with a hint of italy and holland thrown in for good measure - at most we'll cross the austrian border into salzburg.

do you think i should switch out one or two of the cities i plan to see for hamburg or frankfurt?
this is just the kind of feedback i'm hoping for! and to be honest, once i had read the totally outdated hamburg insight guide (and saw two topless dancer girls from st.pauli there in it's pages), i have been interested in hamburg - so... if it's really cool i'll blow off the kraut's suggestion to skip it.
